From the desk of Drew Rivetty, RHF Chief Health Architect:
After weeks of thigh-burning workouts and sweat-soaked sessions, my client Brandon
stepped on the scale. For the first time in years, he weighed 185 pounds, smashing
his goal to lose 20 pounds. This was when I had my first Dr. Frankenstein moment
and cackled hysterically to myself, "It works!"
Before I became a personal trainer, I thought I had read everything and knew everything
there was to know about exercise...only my body didn't show it. I was the guy who went
to the fitness club and did 30 minutes of bicep curls and left. Working arms and
nothing else was great for my ego, but an insult to my health. I spent the rest
of my days at odds with nagging bodily malfunctions--everything from dental to digestive.
I didn't seek a personal trainer until my spine slipped a disk and I couldn't pry
myself off the floor (hopefully, you are inquiring about our services under less
excruciating circumstances). That's when I rediscovered exercise and made some drastic
lifestyle changes.

I applied my investigative skills acquired during my eight years as a journalist
and went full speed on sampling workouts from those whom we most want to emulate--the
fittest of the fit. Going far beyond the bodybuilding magazines, I found the
most effective programs from mixed martial artists, firefighters and SWAT teams,
Navy SEALs, competitive strongmen, gymnasts and Olympic competitors. Not only do
these programs work...they're fun!
Now, I can feel my hamstrings pop out of my shorts, I've shed the man boobs and beer
gut, and I can confidently wrestle baby crocodiles (or at least carry them). Exercise doesn't have
to be about counting reps and going through the motions. People reach their goals when
they're enjoying the process of squeezing their muscles, bouncing around and
pushing their energy to new extremes. There's an individual program out there for
everyone--maybe it's lifting medicine balls, maybe it's lifting washing machines--that
will lead you to your results.
